The Flemings

Established 1972…

Meet my grandparents. They are just adorable and I was blessed to capture images of them. When I was thinking of asking them, I was hesitant they would agree but they jumped right on board.

We then scheduled the shoot for the first week of October hoping for tolerable weather but then Mother Nature made it 90 degrees outside anyway… so shout out to them for being troopers for some outdoor shots.

So we started out at the front of their church, one which they have attended for 47 years now. The church itself was originally built in 1899. It has since been added onto but the original sanctuary with all these beautiful stained glass windows still stands and they are stunning.

My grandfather is many things but most importantly he is a man of God and being so I saw it fit to include the Bible in a few shots. We started out with their hands on his favorite Proverb and then took a few featuring one I believe embodies my grandparents… “love is patient, love is kind.” Over the years that is what I have seen, patience, love and kindness.

I am extremely grateful they allowed me to capture these. I will cherish them forever. Love you guys!
